Mia Gomez

Mia is a student in the Wilkes Honors College at FAU Jupiter campus and first started volunteering in the lab in spring 2023. She was also a “Semester By The Sea” student in 2024, and has participated in multiple field outings. Mia’s interest s lie in shark and ray conservation and ecology.

William Sample

Will worked with our lab during his junior and senior years (2018-2019) at FAU’s Wilkes Honors College. Will produced an honors thesis assessing post-release behavior of Mako sharks using animal-borne camera tags.

Leah Coleman

Leah Coleman worked with us during her junior year (2017) at Florida Atlantic University pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences. She has previously attended Eastern Florida State College where she worked with bivalves and Atlantic Tarpon. At Florida Atlantic, she worked with Loggerhead and Green Sea Turtles. Upon graduation from Florida Atlantic, she hopes to pursue a Master’s in Marine Biology.
